FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We have answers for all your microblading and permanent makeup questions. If you don’t see
it here, contact us and we’ll answer you by the next business day.

Microblading is a form of Permanent makeup (cosmetic tattoo), where pigment is implanted under the surface of the skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a machine. Due to the hand-drawn techniques of Microblading, we’re able to create very realistic hair-like strokes to fill in your brows and give the illusion of naturally fuller eyebrows.

You should avoid Microblading if you have very oily skin with large pores. Unfortunately you are not a good candidates for Microblading, WHY? It will look amazing right after procedure but after 10 days your hair strokes will expand, or loose color, leaving scar tissue and will heal with unexpected colors. Powder brows are the only technique I recommend for very oily skin. Those with less oily or combination skin, may consider a combo brows (Microblading + magic powder-shading). Microblading is not a good technique for cover ups, it is absolutely impossible to cover an old tattoo or previous microbladed eyebrows with Microblading.

Microblading is also known as feather, embroidery, 3D or 6D.

  • Good only for dry or normal and tight skin types
  • Not good for cover ups or correction
  • Last 1 year
  • Can leave scarring

Magic Powder is a form of Permanent makeup (cosmetic tattoo), where pigment is implanted under the surface of the skin with a rotary machine/device. Magic Powder technique is meant to create a soft, powdery, airbrushed look. Magic Powder is a method which involves the application of thousands of tiny little dots of pigment, inserted into the skin, gradually building up a color and a defined shape. The color transition creates the Ombre effect. I create the effect of dark to medium to light by layering pigment layer by layer. They are not for creating hair strokes at all and are best for clients that want more bold looking brows or have brows but want a base color. Magic Powder is also known as ombre or shading.

  • Soft Powder or “Makeup” look
  • Great for all skin types
  • Great for people with no hair
  • Can be used to cover old permanent brows
  • Last 1-3 years
  • No scarring
  • For more information please contact us +1 (747) 256-8909.

Combo brows is a form of Permanent makeup (cosmetic tattoo), where we combine both manual Microblading technique and Magic Powder (shading). Combo technique is a good choices for clients that have little to no hair at all and those who simply wants to add more definition to their brows and add an arch. This method allows us to create an illusion of both natural eyebrows hairs and magic powder.  It also helps to create a more natural looking shade and dimensions.

Combo Brows can be done on every skin types (dry, normal, combination, minimal oil) except for very oily skin type with large pores. Combo brows as also known as hybrid brows or microshading.

  • Good for all skin types, except very oily skin type with a large pores
  • Fashionable and natural looking effect
  • Good for cover ups or correction
  • Last 1 -3 years

Eyeliner  is a form of Permanent makeup (cosmetic tattoo) and a great method to give permanent definition to your eyes. There are 3 types of eyeliner:

    1. Lash Enhancement is very natural looking and great for everyone, who would like to enhance their lash line and create an appearance of fuller lashes. Great for people with really gappy, light or sparse natural lashes as it allows to achieve a fuller look. Can be applied on top or bottom lines.
    2. Winged Eyeliner is eyeliner with a wing (classic eyeliner) is designed and recommended for people who wear pencil or liquid eyeliner everyday and would like to save time on applying it. One of the greatest advantages of permanent eyeliner is that it will never run and always have a beautiful shape that is professionally drawn. Permanent eyeliner can be applied on either lower or upper line or both.
    3. Smokey Eyeliner is a winged eyeliner with powdery effect (effect of eye shadow).

    Cover up/Correction of previous tattoo.

If you had your permanent make up done at another studio, please do not book as a touch up. You will need to book an appointment as a “Correction of previous tattooed eyebrows. Before making an appointment, please make sure to send us good quality pictures from different angles standing in day light, so I can review and let you know if I can work with your previous tattooed brows.  Please don’t use indoor lights or flash because this will change the color of your permanent make up

This service is suited for clients who had permanent makeup at another studio but would like to correct the shape, color look of their eyebrows, eyeliner or lips. Artist usually uses both color and shape correction methods during this procedure.

    • Color correction is when the shape of the eyebrows, eyeliner or lip blush tattoo is what the client wants, but the color is poor or faded to blue, purple or red. The correct color is used over the previously faded permanent makeup to change it toward a more natural color.
    • Shape correction is used to improve symmetry, shape or balance of uneven permanent lips, eyeliner or eyebrow.

You must be 18+ for any cosmetic tattooing procedure.

Each technique or procedure has different pricing. Please go to the “Prices” tab to find price information.

A topical numbing cream is used prior to and during the PMU procedures to minimize discomfort. Most of my clients feel very little pain, while some experience a small amount of soreness. I take every precaution necessary to ensure your treatment is as pain-free as possible.

An appointment lasts 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the technique we decide to do. A touch up appointment lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the amount of work that needs touching up.

The process of healing will take about 4-6 weeks after the procedure. It is then that the final pigment fixation takes place. Pigment fixation time may vary according to your body regeneration and age.

Your new eyebrows/eyeliner/lips will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

The pigment will appear very natural looking immediately after the procedure. Swelling and redness is minimal with most clients, and will disappear within 24-48 hours.

The color of the pigment will appear much darker the next day. After 4-5 days your brows will start to flake & peel. For most people, the recovery time is between 10-14 days depends on the skin type. For example the dry skin type will heal faster than the oily skin type.

After your recovery period (when the scab starts peeling or fully gone), brows might appear lighter than original or even super light where you cannot see hairstrokes or any color. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least 4-6 weeks to see the true color. Once the treated area is completely healed, any changes or additions that need to be made can be done at your follow-up appointment no sooner than 6 week once healed.

    Please Remember

    Eyebrow/Eyeliner/Lips heal in three stages:

Too dark – Too light – Just right. This takes 6 weeks to happen.

Microblading/Magic Powder/Eyeliner/Lip Blush results are very individual and vary from one person to another, everyone’s results last a different amount of time. A color refresh for eyebrows is recommended on average from 12-18 months after your initial procedure, for eyeliner and lips – 12-36 months after your initial procedure.

How long it last depends on the individual and the following factors:

    • your skin type
    • life style
    • metabolism
    • aftercare
    • age
    • the amount of sun exposure
    • medication being taken
    • immune system
    • environment

Permanent makeup is not recommended for clients who have skin irritations or psoriasis/eczema near the treated area. Please consult your dermatologist if you have any specific concerns about your skin type or condition.

We choose your custom shape and style together. At the beginning of your appointment we will discuss what you want your new brows to look like. We would like you to bring in pictures of your favorite looking brows, eyeliner or lips. This will helps us to understand the shape, color and fullness that you desire and will go a long way in decoding the communication gap. I will help you determine the best eyebrow shape depending on your face shape, bone structure, eye size and your desires. I will make measurements to make them as symmetrical & position them as much as possible.

We choose a color together per your personal preference, then we applying a small amounts of different colored pigments to the skin near to your brows or lips and selecting the best match for your skin tone, features and brow hair. Please  remember if you tint your brows regularly you MUST tint them 5-7 days prior to your appointment. Also remember while choosing your color it will faded up to 50% after your first visit.
